The Game Fair is delighted to announce the return of Angling In Ireland to the event and to the Fishing Village in particular.
Angling In Ireland, a joint initiative between Inland Fisheries Ireland, Loughs Agency and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, works to promote all forms of fishing across the country and is charged with growing the sport there.
John Hunter, The Game Fair’s angling consultant, said: “Ireland offers some of the most diverse and amazing fishing anyone could wish for, from trout and salmon to a vast array of coarse fish that are rarely targeted, not to mention saltwater species from cod to bass to blue shark.
“I know that visitors to this year’s Game Fair will be impressed by the wide range of angling opportunities along Ireland’s rivers, lakes and coasts and I urge everyone coming along to visit the fast-growing Fishing Village and enjoy all that we have to offer.”
The Loughs Agency manages the fisheries of the Foyle and Carlingford systems, affordable but fabulous salmon and trout fishing with season rod licence £16 and day tickets from £20.
