The sport is easy for everyone from children to senior citizens to take part in, and is accessible to people with a wide range of abilities. It is also one of the few sports that can be practiced as a family. From the historic longbow and Mongolian horsebow, through to the recurve and compound bow types, archery has a range of styles to suit what people want to get out of the sport, and these can be used to practice several different types of archery. Target Archery with large round targets will be recognisable to most people, but this is not the only type of archery available, and archery clubs across the country offer a wide range of choice for people to choose from.

If you’re interested in seeing archery in action or would like to have-a-go to see if it might be something you’d like to take up, visit the Field Archery area, where you can talk about the sport and try your hand at a range of targets from Olympic style targets through to 3D animal targets at a range of distances. As a club that’s been trying to hit the target for 30 years in Warwickshire, Stratford Archers are pleased to be supporting The Game Fair ® this year, and are always looking for new members, with beginners’ courses throughout the year.
