The Subaru Shooting Line

The Game Fair’s Shooting Line, has become a staple feature of the show site for many years. Run by world famous shooting ground and sporting agency, E.J. Churchill, it allows our visitors the opportunity to have a mid-summer shoot out with competitions, Have-a-Go booths and demonstrations. We boast Europe’s Longest Shooting Line – plenty of room for the whole family to get involved with this historical country sport.

With layouts designed by multi World and European Clay Shooting Champion George Digweed MBE, the Shooting Line will support shooters of all disciplines and abilities, so if you are a novice looking to try something new over the weekend, or a seasoned pro gathering top tips to advance your shot, then this is the place for you. With a secure Gun Safe located on Gunmakers Row®, there’s never been a better excuse to bring your gun along and enjoy this age-old past-time!

We are excited to announce that we will be introducing pre-booking for the CPSA have-a-go stands on the Subaru Shooting Line, allowing shooters to skip the queue on the day and go straight to their stand. The cost is £12.50 for adults and £10.50 for under 16s. This includes use of a shotgun, all cartridges, ear and eye protection, and the chance to shoot at ten clays.
Pre-booked shooters will also have the option to use a ShotKam to record their shots for a small price upgrade, which even experienced shooters can benefit from, with the footage sent after your shoot. If you have never shot before, you will learn: basic shotgun safety, how to load and fire a shotgun, and how to hit a moving target using the CPSA Method. 

The Shooting Arena

The centre stage of the Subaru Shooting Line the Shooting Arena is home to display shooting, trick-shots, demonstrations, master classes by a world champion clay shooter, heritage shooting and nail-biting finals of all main competitions. Grandstand seating for over 130 spectators will be in front of the spacious arena, visitors can expect a packed schedule of events covering all three days.

Don’t forget to meet friends at our World Famous Gunmakers Pub – a great place to relax after all of that shopping as once again Gunmakers Row® will have the country’s largest choice of guns and accessories.

Gun Storage

  • Storage open from 7am – 7pm Friday/Saturday, 7am – 6.30pm Sunday. 
  • Guns may be kept securely overnight.
