The Subaru Shooting Line  

The Game Fair’s Shooting Line, run by E.J. Churchill, has become a staple feature of the show site for many years. It allows our visitors the opportunity to have a mid-summer shoot out with competitions, Have a Go booths and demonstrations. We boast Europe’s Longest Shooting Line at a staggering 585 meters long! Plenty of room for the whole family to get involved with this historical country sport. The Subaru Shooting Line will support shooters of all disciplines and abilities, so if you are a novice looking to try something new over the weekend, or a seasoned-pro gathering top tips to advance your shot, then this is the place for you. With a secure Gun Safe located on Gunmakers Row®, there’s never been a better excuse to bring your gun along and enjoy this age-old past-time!

Challenge the greats

challenge-the-greatsFollowing the success of The Lord James Percy Grouse Challenge and Simon Ward High Pheasant Challenge at The CLA Game Fair at Harewood House & The Game Fair 2016 at Ragley Hall, the competition will be back again this year. Fieldsports Magazine will also be launching the George Digweed Pigeon Challenge at The Game Fair 2017 – Hatfield  House.

Members of The Game Fair-going public will once again have the opportunity to try to beat the scores set by two of the finest game Shots of our generation on specially-designed grouse and high pheasant sequences. The overall High Gun in each competition (across all three days) will take home an impressive bundle of prizes. To enter, simply come down to the clay line and look for the Fieldsports gazebo.



The CPSA is the national governing body for the sport of clay target shooting in England. As an organisation the CPSA not only looks after members, but also run registered competitions and ensure there is a future for the sport. Back for 2017, the CPSA are running their famous Champion of Champions Competition on the Saturday and Colts Challenge on the Sunday of the Show.
